Muñeca de Porcelana Rota: el paso a paso
Hola amigos:
A continuación, os voy a enseñar cómo realicé, y con qué materiales, por supuesto todos ellos reciclados, el disfraz de Muñeca de Porcelana Rota.
Hi Friends: Here you are the “how-to” of The Broken Dolly Halloween costume I did, I´ll show you how to use recycled materials to get a very attractive result. My daughter looked like a real porcelain dolly and, she got scared of everyone she met!!.
Materiales:
- Bolsitas de té y a granel, para teñir todos nuestros materiales.
- Vestido de ceremonia, en este caso, de talla pequeña para enfatizar el efecto de muñeca de porcelana.
- Distintos retales de: tul, algodón blanco, floca, puntilla de flores y de ganchillo. Y florecillas de tela en ramillete.
- Chaquetita corta con adorno en el cuello, también reciclado y de talla pequeña.
- Medias con puntilla de encaje, sin uso desde hace mucho tiempo.
• Ceremonial dress, in this case, small in size to emphasize the effect of a porcelain doll.
• Different remnants of tulle, white cotton, flock, picot of flowers, and crochet. And flower florets in a corsage.
• Short jacket with ornament on the neck, also recycled and small in size.
• Stockings with lace, not used for a long time.
• Teabags and in bulk, to dye all our materials.
First of all, we have to tint our lovely dress with a very intense black tea infusion, so we will get recreate the colour of an ancient fabric.
También teñimos los adornos que van a completar el look a muñeca de porcelana que buscamos.
We also need to tint the rest of the ornaments to manage to get the look aspect of a porcelain dolly.
Cuando hayamos conseguido el color deseado, procedemos a coser los adornos. E incorporamos un antiguo delantal de muñeca, las florecillas del cinturón y sustituimos los botones por nuevas flores, todo ello convenientemente teñido con el té. Como añadido, hemos descosido la puntilla del delantal y, lo hemos incorporado al cuerpo del vestido.
After dyeing, we sew all the ornaments around. Small tinted flowers instead of buttons and the tinted flowering belt. We will add an old dolly apron, rescued from the bottom of our trunk. We also sew the unstitched lace of the apron, over the body of the dress.
Ahora, ya podemos ponernos creativos añadiendo “edad” al vestido, pegando con cola caliente distintos retales de floca y tul teñidos.
Now we can put “years” to our dress, glueing some retails of tinted flock and tulle.
Ya podemos preparar las medias recicladas que dan el toque final al disfraz. Limpiamos el encaje, de la innecesaria silicona y, las teñimos con el té.
After the last step, we continue preparing our outfit, dyeing our stockings, recycled from my wedding.
Como es una época fría, vamos a añadirle mangas al vestido. Para ello, tomamos un viejo leggins de algodón y, después de teñirlo con el té negro, lo cosemos al vestido.
Like the weather is said to be cold, we have to put sleeves to our dress so that we use old cotton leggings appropriately tinted with the tea.
El último toque es, añadirle a la manga un poco de goma para que se sujete al dedo corazón.
You can add some elastic band to maintain the sleeve to hold it on to finger.
Y ya está, ya tenemos preparado nuestro vestido, aunque sólo es una parte del disfraz. El resto, se complementa con mucho maquillaje, un peinado adecuado y mucha terrorífica “pose”. Siempre ayudará al ambiente, una verdadera muñeca de porcelana decapitada y, un "cuchillo" ensangrentado!!
And that's it, we have our dress ready, although it is only part of the costume. The rest is complemented with a lot of makeup, a suitable hairstyle, and a lot of terrifying “pose”.
